Shift Instruction for Silicon Tracker
To include the Silicon into the Readout:
- Make sure the Silicon Tracker panel on the Supervisor is
set to
Standard.
- Include the Silicon Branch (branch 12).
- Start the run.
- If this fails, make a
Warmstart.
- Start the run.
- If this fails twice, follow
procedure B (s. below).
Troubleshooting during data taking:

Recovery Procedure:
- Restart run.
- If this fails, follow
procedure A
Procedure A:
- Exclude Silicon Branch 12 from the readout.
- Start the run.
- If the run is started proceed to
procedure B.
- If this fails, look for different subsystem.
- Include Silicon Branch 12 in the readout again.
Procedure B:
- Turn off CST
- Include Silicon Branch 12 in readout (if not already done)
- Make sure that the run is stopped.
- Find the Silicon Tracker reset panel in room 301, rack A1. (opposite the System Supervisor)
- Push following buttons
in the top row from left to right.
- OnSiRoC CST (CST has to be switched off)
- OnSiRoC BST
- PPC CST/VLQ
- PPC BST
- FIC Abort + FIC Reset
- Push the
Master Reset at the bottom left.
- Make a
Warmstart of the
VLQ Tracker at the VLQ Slow Control Mac
in room 307 (B21 left).
Wait for message
Warmstart succesful.
- Make TWO
CDAQ Warmstarts.
- Restart the run. Turn on CST and check
L4 histograms.
- If the restart fails three times, exclude Silicon Branch 12 from readout and
call Silicon Expert.
